This course is for sailors who are planning on chartering a yacht whilst abroad (particularly Europe). You will need this qualification in order to carter a yacht from any reputable charter company!

The full course takes two days to cover teaching and learning and the 4h exam. You would be expected to be experienced before coming on the full course. The exam only option takes 4 hours and you are unlikely to pass this unless you have considerable experience and are excellent at boat handling.

Tasman Adventures charges $300 for the test. You will then need to send your forms to the RYA with a fee of approximately $100 to receive your certificate. This process takes 2 – 6 weeks to complete.
