Tasman Adventures Safety and Sea Survival

AS/WS Safety and Sea Survival Revalidation Course - $350 per person - 8 spaces

This 8 hour course meets the requirements of Australian Sailing and World Sailing for crew planning to take part in offshore yacht races like the Sydney to Hobart and have previously completed the Full Safety and Sea Survival Course.

We recommend that you come to the full jam packed 2 day course based in the classroom and the pool at the Hobart Aquatic Centre in Tasmania for this reduced price. The course starts at 9 am on the Saturday, will cover topics as diverse as skipper and crew responsibilities, weather and heavy weather techniques before firing off live flares to finish our day at 5pm. On Sunday morning it will start at 9am sharp in the pool looking at lifejackets and their features, how to service your own lifejacket and in water drills with a life raft and other equipment.  In the afternoon we'll look at personal safety gear, rescue assets available in Australia and we'll finish off with a short exam at 4pm.

If this does not suit your timeframes then you can arrange to participate for 8 hours of a course (this must include the in water session) and sit the exam outside of that time.
